李柏翹（陳鍵鋒 飾），鐘立文（吳卓羲 飾）在PTS警校畢業后，被分配到油麻地分區巡邏。柏翹照章辦事，立文則熱心沖動。立文經過反思，決定支持阿花（楊怡 飾）去日本讀設計。柏翹在例行檢查時，得罪了以張景峰（陶大宇 飾）和傻強為首的古惑仔，遭到投訴。“殺神”袁慧妮（郭羨妮 飾），對他進行了內部臨詢。某晚，藹琳（薛凱琪 飾）和立文發現了景峰和傻強在進行非法交易。為了幫柏翹，藹琳拉立文跟蹤，卻最終為救柏翹而犧牲。這對柏翹打擊很大，苛責立文，兩人暗生芥蒂。景峰卻因臥底破案有功，升為柏翹和立文的上司。但其行事作風經常令兩人難堪，矛盾重重。其中，還牽涉了景峰的妹妹念恩（容祖兒 飾）、前妻慧妮、其弟家富（關智斌 飾）以及立文的表妹文靜（徐子珊 飾）……
