一頭紅發，perfect的“第五元素”莉露(Milla Jovovich飾)受命來到地球，她要協助人類與每隔五千年降臨一次的邪惡力量對抗，聯合風、火、水、土四塊神石擊退敵人。 在實驗室被復制出來后，言語不通的莉露在躲避人類的追捕中搭上了退役特工科本（Bruce Will is飾）的出租車。科本帶莉露找到了負責接頭的神父，兩人也漸漸的產生了好感。 莉露與科本一同前往一個叫“失落天堂”的星球找尋另外四種元素的神石。但是，在戰斗中莉露受傷昏迷，而且由于人類的暴行和無知殺戮，莉露陷入了內心的迷惘。大敵當前，科本究竟用什么力量才能喚醒莉露呢？
