魔王赤松健老師麾下名作《魔法先生》即將再次動畫化的消息最早是在2月公布的，按照當時的計劃將連續推出“春”“夏”兩個篇章的OVA，既兩季發行DVD 各一卷。不過時間忽忽悠悠的磨到了6月，還不見新作有什么實質性的動靜。好在日前官方終于重新“打破沉默”，公布了《魔法先生：OVA春》的專屬網站，并最終確定該DVD將在8月17日正式發售，此時距離傳統意義上“春”這個概念已經有3、4個月之遙。此外，OVA“夏篇”尚未有定論，按照此進度的話恐怕最早會在秋天面世。新開放的官網公布的資料雖然不多，但相當實用。8月17日發售的DVD實際上將作為同期發售的《魔法先生》漫畫第18卷的限定捆綁特典。撇開正片部分， DVD附帶映像特典包括，常規的5分鐘CM，一段WEB廣播劇，以及動畫的OP。據說這次的OP創意將是2-A的“后宮團”從噴氣機上跳傘登場？！好家伙，再次由衷的佩服一下新房昭之監督。
