章昕（林嘉欣 飾）得知房東的妻兒死于泥石流后，總會看見她們的鬼魂，令男友無法忍受折磨離她而去，無奈之下，她求助于心理醫師阿占（張國榮 飾）。阿占清楚知道章昕所見不過是因長久孤閉所生幻覺，開始竭盡全能幫助她，終使其慢慢脫離了種種恐怖的意想。兩人在這一過程中漸漸生出感情。 當置身阿占的生活空間時，章昕發現阿占有諸多怪異舉動，調查過后，發現他患有嚴重的精神分裂，一到晚上某時即被幻象所困痛不欲生。為了讓愛人回歸正常，章昕決定幫助他趕走心里的魔障。
