《龍櫻2》改編自三田紀房的同名漫畫，故事發生在2005年劇版《龍櫻》的10年后，講述從龍山高中退休后一直指導私立大學經營的櫻木建二(阿部寬 飾)，接受了再次陷入困境的龍山高中的邀請，回來帶領學生奮斗。前作中扮演學生水野直美的長澤雅美，據悉也將以教師身份重返母校。
