此為TV版動畫第三部，從1997年4月4日至1997年9月26日放映，全26話。 此作完全脫離原作，為動畫原創故事，原創的角色也很多。由於是動畫原創，部分設定和原作設定相矛盾，並且原本的主角：莉娜等人的存在變成了半個旁觀者。故事走向太過於沉重路線，和原作原本的作風相距甚遠，所以沒有受到與前二作相等的評價。
