經典電影《五個相撲的少年》相隔30年以日劇回歸，延續當年青春熱血故事。劇集除了有電影版導演周防正行擔任總監制，也有當年演員竹中直人、清水美砂等參演，加上新生代演員伊原六花、葉山獎之等擔綱演出，一齊點燃青春戰魂。 講述森山亮太（葉山獎之 飾）從小學開始打棒球，但在升大一時放棄，從此找不到新目標，就這樣升上了四年級。之后他不但被心儀對象拒絕，還因為學分不夠，快要失去靠關系得到的工作機會，只好加入面臨廢社危機的教立大學相撲社，與唯一的社員大庭穗香（伊原六花 飾）展開奮斗。
